There has been a lot of talk about Madeleine McCann the 3 year old gurl who was snatched from her bed when she was left alone with 2 year old brother and sister while her parents ate at a near by restaurant in Portugal. Yes it was a terrible thing to happen and I hope they get her back unharmed and catch the person responsible .
I do not fall for media hype as much as some do, the press saturate the news with one story and it becomes so important and people who usually don't give a fuck about anything even take an interest. I will play the race card for the sake of all the coloureds out there, Madeleine is a cute white gurl from a civilised nation if it was a black or brown child maybe not so cute from poor parents would they get so much coverage? would people take doon their blogs just to put her story up or get people on comments to visit their blogs? well children go missing every day but with this case people are going into over time, makes you wonder if all their intentions are true. Theres an expression when someone doesn't include you in something you say "what am I a nigger?" not a nice expression but it makes my point .

Couldn't agree more. I mentioned the amount of Portuguese missing children who have not had coverage. This is only one case that i know of, since as you rightly point out, the media has picked up on it. Your story about the case - i'm sorry that i hadn't seen it when you posted it - i agree with every word you said there and my personal blog effort is, frankly, for Madeleine, not for her parents.
Its silly for people to think they are safe anywhere and assume someone else is looking out for them and their kids. Portugal is tiny think the rest of the world.

I agree, but to a point. Anything that can be done to find that kid should be done. If some rich git wants to offer money to help find her thats fine with me. If the media saturate the tv, papers,and radio with coverage thats fine with me too. The end justifys the means. I expect the British media to cover this story and give it maximum exposure. If this story happened the other way round and it was a kid on holiday here from another country I would expect the media here to handle it in the same way as if it was a local kid.
As for the parents now is not the time to assign blame, except for the dirt bag that snatched her.

Exactly Old K. I'd be searching until i dropped. Any good parent would. The twins have half the family out there to care for them well (just in case they considered leaving them). Now, better late than never, is a good time for the media to bring up other cases to highlight.
