Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Laurov said.
"I cannot understand it when people try to lay blame for historical events on somebody or try to compare communism with Nazism."

Well you're not too bright then.
.
There is a lot between saying and doing.
Great ideas on both parts but it didn't work out when it came to the deeds. Hitler was a crap socialist as he destroyed most of his cuntry and Stalin didn't want to share his toys. Russia under Stalin agreed with Hitler to split Poland in half to save the peace between them, that cunt Stalin went with the wind, just like current day Russia.
I think the war memorial in Estonia should be kept, those people that died in the fight against Hitler earned our eternal thanks and at least a monument where it was first built , the politics of today dishonour the war dead.

The trouble in Tallinn is what is going on all over the world and really nothing to to with a bronze soldier. Tallinn is a (UNESCO world heritage site)
mediaevil tourist City with an exclusion wall around it; it is the ancient town wall for protection, and it still serves as such. It's a beautiful place no doubt; a journey back in time. I've been there on holiday. Apart from the wall there is a round the clock police presence; if you have no business there you're quickly moved on. Cheap drink, food, night-clubbing, anything for the beautiful people with money. If you go outside the wall you are confronted with row after row of run-down grey blocks of flat's where poverty is rife. Most are rusian speaking and go to make up the majority of the poor. That is the real problem. Cheers! Y:-)
PS: There are Russians there as well as opposed to rusians Ha!
Yay great post. your reward awaits.
Good Morning !
yea i agree that those ordinary solidiers that fought Hitler were Lions (albiet, led by Pit Bull Terriers rather than donkeys)& The Russians saved our bacon far more than the Yanks in WW2.
But,yes, I,m glad Joe wasnt My Uncle.
Dont know much about this Estonia story..........i will check it out
Paddy I can feel sorry for the Russian people in Estonia than the government it must be tough on them but old grudges against anything Soviet/Nazi if you will can be quite strong.
kate Isis Yay! reward, I hope its soapy.
tony It was like inviting the Devil to join us when the Soviets became allies, both the Yanks and Russians with their vast resources helped out well when it effected them, though the Yanks did give us supplies in 1940. When you go to war and fight against evil and lose yer life you're a hero no matter what nation you belong too .
troika I do and thats what counts.
Aye that monument moving malarky was a cunt trick and no mistake.
Soviet and Estonian graves were dug up to be moved somewhere more handy.
