The trouble with Scotland is that it's full of Scots.
Patrick McGoohan died aged 80 on 13th January 2009 in Santa Monica, Callyfornia, following a fight to the death with Ricardo Montalbán, 88 who died of his wounds 14th January 2009.
McGoohan was born in New York and raised in Ireland and England. To me he is most famous as #6 in The Prisoner series he was once considered for James Bond, legend has it he turned it doon because it wasn't a good role model.
He once said about sterotyping:
Mel will always be Mad Max, and me, I will always be a Number.
Ricardo Montalbán born in Mexico became an American and did the roles Americans didn't want to do for half the price.
I think he is best known as that smug twat on Fantasy Island and as Chuka Khan Noonien Singh in 'Star Trek II: The Wrath of lunch'.
He was in his 60's when he did that flick and the chest muscles were his own his hair belonged to Limahl from Kajagoogoo.

both of them terribly sexy men...i don't care what age...they still were able to create the illusion...and it worked...
It works for Old Knudsen too, eh Daisy?
but of course mj...i thought that just went without saying...you know irish men make me weak at the knees...
Don't know this texmex, but McGoohan: That series was really great, liked it very much. There was rumor that he would write something new.
you two yes I am sexy but Irish? oh yeah the blogs awards....... to be sure.
mago well we always mean to get around to doing stuff but the grim reaper has other ideas.
Or the Franconian Navy ...
McGoohan was rrright aboot Scottlund and Mel always being Mad Max.
I heard that the Producers of Faaaantasy Island wouldn't let Montalbán drag around Tattu in a dog collar and real Corrrrinthian Leather assless chaps because it was too ghey even for the 70s?
I also heard that the Producers for the sstraight-to-video version of Fana-Z Island..
turned down Limahl's offer to let them use Never Ending Sto-o-ry and the word on the street is that they opted for Eddie Murphy's Party Al The Time.
Sounds awesome!
