It's hard not to be a little jealous of a culture that treasures childhood and smothers the kids with an avalanche of hugs and kisses and warm puppies. A time in life when living in a fantasy world filled with mischief and mirth is the only thing that matters.
Doggonit anyway, I love the way they shelter the kids from the real world..it's gonna catch up to these little darlings soon enough.. right now it's time to chase your giggling friends through the fields frought with wild flowers and chase pretty butterflies as they flit to and fro under a blue sky filled with big, puffy, marshmallowy clouds. Not a care in the world.
How grand it is to value your toddlers so much that you toss out any notion of self loathing, dogmatism, and xenophobia, and wrap them up in a big, cozy, blankey of self esteem and selfless altruism.
