fantomas said exactly who he was, unfortunately he fell in love with himself, and like Lynn says "who the hell is he..." nobody remembers him but most remember that incredible sound he produced with the Righteous Brothers:"You never close your eyes anymore when I kiss your lips. And there's no tenderness like before in your fingertips. You're trying hard not to show it, (baby). But baby, baby I know it... "The sun ain't goin "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'," His shadow got him in the end. Y:-) Paddy
Phil Spector is someone John Peel probably knew all about a producer, we common folk that listen to the songs only hear about him when he blows the back of some woman's head off.
And thats what he'll be most famous for, his hair and the shooting.
We can judge, Rich, because blowing a woman's head off is wrong. Pure and simple. Where's the problem?
Paddy and Eddie Waring thanks for filling me in. I adore that song, i really do. Had no idea he had anything to do with it, as Old K said. Who would know? Still i admire the work, but well, it doesn't entitle being above the law.
Who the hell is he anyway? They keep talking about him on the news as 'pop legend'. On what planet?
ReplyDeleteIf he gets off with murder he still has to answer to the fashion police. At least OJ Simpson did it with style.
ReplyDeletePlonk a flouncy hat and an ascot on him and you've got the makings of Quentin Crisp.
ReplyDeleteFor the musically declined, "The Wall of Sound", changed forever the way we listen to music.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if this thought goes through his head when he goes to the barber:
ReplyDelete"Yeah, make me look like a post-menopausal school teacher from the midwest. Oh, and blonde, too."
