We have a problem with kilts in Arizona, most men who work outdoors have a peculiar tan: The face and arms are tanned to a golden brown while the legs (always clad in a pair of Levi's) are the same color as milk and for some fair skinned fellas the same color as Saran wrap. You put that combination in a kilt and it ain't pretty!
I would wear the utili kilt meself as I only have clan blood on me mum's side so no claim to wear one, unless you use the yank reasoning for everyone to wear them.

A kilt on a scot makes sense. but the camo skirts and that rubbish of american tartan?? HA!
